"I was delighted to hear of the achievements of the South West Wales RoADAR group. Twelve passes at Gold standard is a tremendous accomplishment and testament to the hard work and dedication of members of the group. Many congratulations to all involved. I hope you won’t mind that I have shared this good news story on the Road Safety Wales website and through social media for others to follow this encouraging example of good road safety practice. www.roadsafetywales.co.uk
Continued success to the group and in adding to your accomplished membership.
Road Safety Manager
Over a beautiful weekend in mid October, associates and current members took part in an organised weekend of training throughout Wales.
Five tutors challenged fifteen South West Wales RoADAR members to perfect their skills of using the System of Motorcycle Control in order to become test ready. Friday was spent locally in familiar territory; Saturday's destination was Caernarfon with a variety of carefully planned routes used, and an alternative return journey on the Sunday morning. Three groups, who all departed separately and used different routes all arrived in Llandovery on the final day within 5 minutes of each other, itself a show of high discipline and consistent progress.
We would like to recognise the high standard achieved and congratulate those members that elected to be tested for attaining 11 Gold passes and 1 Silver pass. A testament of their dedication to riding development and of their high standards. A Gold RoSPA certificate is the highest civilian qualification achievable
The guys have recently returned from a very successful training trip to Scotland. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed and it resulted in 6 Golds, 3 Silvers and 2 Bronze awards! Congratulations to all.
