All drivers and riders would benefit from some degree of advice before applying for the test, even if this is only an assessed drive.
Advice is provided, freely, by our Group Approved Tutors. These are all Full Members of RoADAR who have been approved by RoADAR to undertake observed rides/drives and to provide advice. All drives except demonstration are carried out in the Associates own Car or on their own motorcycle, which must be Taxed, Insured and have a valid MOT, if required.
All advice is based on 'Roadcraft': The Essential Drivers and Riders Handbook; you will also need to have a good knowledge of the Highway Code.
Both these books are readily available from good bookshops.
The training is geared to taking the RoADAR Advanced riding/driving Test details of which can be found on the main RoADAR web site (see links)
To receive training from Soth West Wales RoADAR Tutors, all you need to do is join the group as an Associate Member. Once you have joined you will be assigned a tutor. Then it's up to you to arrange a time and place to meet and away you go. How long it takes you to pass your test will depend on how competent you are to start with, and then how often you meet your tutor and how much practice you do between sessions. The more you practice, the sooner you'll be ready.
